Hello, anyone and everyone.

I let my subscription lapse a few years back in response to declining health, as back and leg issues kept me from getting to do the garden and arboretum photography I love. An accident earlier this year that temporarily immobilized me led to stays in a hospital and an inpatient rehab facility, progressing to outpatient PT currently.

I was aware of the reawakened interest in film photography, having joined here when it was "apug", and got to the point of digging out the remains of a way outdated (1970s) roll of Tri-X, loading up some aftermarket (probably Spiratone) cassettes, shooting at EI from 25 to 64, and processing in newly-purchased chemicals. Lacking darkroom space and equipment, I intended to scan the negatives, but the SSD in 3-year refurbished desktop crashed, wiping out all my apps and several years worth of images. Ironically, I bought the refurbished SSD-based unit to replace a tower unit I used previously whose hard disk wouldn't spin up!

That failure and advancing age ĺed to my stepping back, as it seemed like rebuilding the operation I'd been running would be too much to handle, and, indeed, the images I've made recently have only been viewed on my laptop replacement for the SSD desktop -- no editing nor post-processing.

I've also taken a good look at my "collection" of equipment -- GAS hit me hard in the late 1990s, and I only went into remission a few years ago. I have many items that will need to find new homes, and while KEH has already taken some pieces, which allowed me to update to a Canon EOS 6D body to go with a set of EF-mount lenses ranging from 17 to 300 mm acquired early on, some of what I have is not of interest to them (Maybe even much of it), but may be of use to Photrio analog or hybrid members.

I recognize that a lot has happened recently in this realm, especially with the rise of mirrorless, but whether manual or auto-focus film, or DSLR, SLT, or ILC variants of digital, we're in an unbelievably interesting era.

Thanks to anyone and everyone who've read through this. I'll do my best to keep future posts shorter.

Regards, Vince
