I agree! Now I am on my 20s and finally got my foot on a good career path, stable income, and with the pandemic I can save proportionally a lot.I have long thought that life is backwards...we shoud go out and enjoy ourselves in our youth, and amass great debt which we work off thru old age. This work in youth, retirement in old age is just plain Effing backward! So maybe you have something, with the theory about the guy 'retiring' in 1969 at a young age. That, or he *is* Methuselah now.
However many times since teen age that I wish I had the resources. My early film projects would have hugely benefitted.
Have had a period of forced sabbatical which I said it was a "preview of retirement". Walks in the beach, relaxation... It was only so bad to not have secured resources.
My current job is fun and with the possibility or working local in the long run. Glad that I have it and it prevent oneself from going insane in the pandemic times.
