So I just got this neat little Retina IIIc, and discovered it has a manual shutter cocking lever on the lens (the red lever just by the "S" in Synchro) I can't find any reference to this anywhere online, do I have a custom unit? Or has anyone seen one like this before? It will sure make multiple exposures easier  Thx for any insights!

This was a modification done by somebody. I'll guess the cocking rack stripped, and that this was his solution. The plastic red cap looks like heat-shrink tubing, but the slot he filed in the case looks smooth, so he did good work.

Does the frame counter advance when advancing film? If not, the cocking-rack was probably removed.

Hi- Yes the frame counter functions normally. It's a very well-done mod, and easy to get used to.
