I was given to believe that EFKE was at one time, a Kodak plant. I was told that since it was taken over during the war there were captured Kodak formulas there from the pre 1940s.

The recently closed Forte plant was once a Kodak plant, and yet their last products do not resemble Kodak products to my knowledge. Although many of their products were very good.

Phototone,

Dupont aquired the German Adox Company in 1962. In their history Dupont stated that they then were interested in X-ray film and photographic paper businesses.

It is said that EFKE once took over the Adox machinery.
