The window in my isolette isn't particularly clear and it's a little scratched. Has anyone used plastic automotive polish on a qtip to restore this? I'm not interested in making mine a guinea pig.

I bought a pack of self adhesive, transparent, red sheets from Amazon. Stuck two back to back to make it a bit darker. The sandwiched adhesive is slightly visible, but overall it is clearer than most windows on my cameras.

You can also photograph something red with e6 film.

The red colour itself doesn't matter, unless you have found some strange orthographic film.
What matters is how dark the glass is and, more importantly, how effective the camera is at preventing light from making its way around the backing paper.

A apug member just sent me some material through the mail. Enough to last a lifetime I'm sure. That was very kind and now I'm set. Thanks for all the replies.
