I would like to know what are some of the hazards and tricks to rerolling on to spools. I have paper backing from old film rolls.

Seems taping the film down before rolling could cause it to buckle. I keep old film, washed all the emulsion off so it will stay flat, for template to cut the 70mm film to the right length.

Thanks for the hep

You need to locate where the terminating end (last photo on the roll) will be and start the film plus paper rolling onto the spool, then tape the beginning end once you reach it. You also want to make sure the film is aligned with the paper nicely, but that's pretty easy while you're rolling.

Also, make sure the tape is good and well-secured, so it doesn't come off as you advance the film and screw everything up.
