Some months ago a fellow posted in a Facebook repair group that Digi-Key part VTB9412BH was a suitable replacement for the Quantum Calcu-Light and Calcu-Flash silicon photodiode. He claimed he was able to recalibrate the meter after replacing the cell with one of these.

Idleness got the better of me last night and I checked Digikey. The part is listed as obsolete, but there were around 30 remaining in stock at $3.25 each. FYI.

The part is made by Excelitas Technologies. They make other similar sensors. I use the VTB8440BH as a replacement in some cameras. Although slightly different in spec. the spectral response is the same and it would probably be an equally good replacement. I've not been able to find any notice of the VTB8440BH becoming obsolete and the supplier I buy from in the UK (RS) has over a 1000 in stock.
