replacement for Kodak Poly-toner

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't seem to locate it. So, does anybody have a formula to replicate Kodak's Polytoner?

check the c hemistry forum, there are several formulas posted, however, there is some feeling that Kodak changed selenium and the results may or maynot be as near to the orginal polytoner.

I have used (and loved) KPT over the years, and was temporarily devastated at its demise. However, Kodak, in its infinite Yellow wisdom gives the following two formulae for those of us who still long for brown, archival and sodium sulfite vapors:
Kodak gives to working solution combinations. No.1 gives redder tones
than No.2

Formula No.1

Kodak Rapid Selenium Toner 17.0 ml
Kodak Brown Toner 75.0 ml
Kodalk (Sodium metaborate) 30.0 grams
Water to make 1.0 liter

This is a working solution.

Formula No.2

Kodak Rapid Selenium Toner 2.0 ml
Kodak Brown Toner 100.0 ml
Kodalk 8.0 grams
Water to make 1.0 liter

This is a working solution.
Formula No.2 tends to reduce the print a little so prints should be given a
little more exposure than normally.
The second toner has about half the capacity of the first.

Obviously all sorts of variations can be made.

Pollytoner

Be sure to use a bath of HCA before and after using the Polytoner. It won't even hurt to wash the prints for awhile before the toning. Works VERY well on ForteWT; Bergger BCCB; and Agfa MCC. Good luck

In answer to my own question I came up with this:
From 12/53 Modern Photography
Water 500.0 ml
Sodium Carbonate,anhydrous 160.0 grams
Kodak Brown Toner 320.0 ml
Kodak Rapid Selenium Toner 80.0 ml
Water to make 1.0 liter
Dilute 1:3 for use
Tone 3 to 5 minutes @ 68F. Clear in Hypo Clearing Agent

Yes, thank you. Now I see the error of my ways. I'll test out one of these formulas and compare it to the polytoner I have remaining, and I'll report back.
