Another way to get a tidy thin black line around the print is to cut a piece of mounting board a millimeter or so smaller than the image area. Place it in one corner of the image on the easel and over expose to give black. Move the mask to the opposite corner and over expose to black again. By over expose, I mean to give sufficient exposure/filtration with no neg in the holder to give paper black when developed. To avoid reflection and fuzziness it will probably be necessary to press the mask down on to the paper during exposure. Alternatively, a glass neg holder larger than the neg size being printed can be masked to give as much, or as little, of the borders as one would wish without compromising support of the neg.
