This is rather silly but I cannot figure this out.

I have a Mamiya M645Super with a winder. On the right side of the camera where winder grip will be located, there is a prong that serves both as an anchor point for the shoulder strap and a mounting point for the winder itself. On this side, the strap "prong" on camera body is longer than the other side.

On the other side (left side), I can remove the strap and the metal bracket by lifting the tab then it just slides out. On the right side, how is the metal bracket removed from the prong? Prong is too long on this side to accommodate the mounting of the winder; therefore, I cannot remove the metal bracket for the strap the same way.

Does the long prong somehow screw off from the camera or come apart in some way?

There got to be a way....

Actually the winder does not attach to that prong at all. The winder has to be removed before you can get to that tab. The tab works the same principal as the one on the left. Just try sliding the tab after removing the winder. That's what I found on my 645 Super.

If you look the right side prong closely, you'll notice, there is a mushroom shaped head. That head and the groove actually get latched onto the grip. The little button and the slider on winder closes the latch of the winder attachment.

I'm looking at this as I type this. How do you get the strap bracket over the mushroom?

I got it. I have to raise the little tab and slide it toward the strap. Neat!
