I do not shoot mf much, being a lf guy, but I want to do a series that will require flash of people, and it will have to be hand held or at most one light stand and hand held camera.

I do not care for what I get with on camera flash, and need to find a source of a cable that will allow me to sync the Hassy flash from at least six feet, preferably 10 feet from the camera.

My local shop does not have any wisdom for me, perhaps somebody can point me in the right direction?

Have you thought of a wire-less trigger – radio or infra-red. Would be more expensive but would also stop people tripping over your long cable.

a small low power on camera flash can be used to fire the main flash via the main flash slave unit.
