I did a quick and dirty mock up in photoshop, the yellow was a little off as I just altered the hue from the pink. But this might be easier to choose with.

I think both are nice, but I like the dark pink a bit more, it also probably wont show dirt as much as the yellow will.

Thanks for the mock up, Newt!
Nice to see what it might look like. You might be right about the dirt factor.
I also like the Richard's name "Bumble bee F three".

Well, so far 2 votes for yellow and 2 votes for pink ...

Be warned, whatever you choose, she may want the matching purse.

Or not - anyone who is young and likes an F3 is an independent thinker.

Personally, I would vote for yrllow (of the two).

Yellow with a nice Yellow Nikon strap

Just stay awat from Camera Leather.....BUT If you do decide to deal with Morgan pay by Paypal and don't wait past 55 days to put in a for a refund if it is not delivered.....this way you will at least get you $$$ back !!!

Surprise,
I was settling on the yellow kit, but eventually in the end my two daughters and my wife settled on the blue lizard kit:

So I ordered the blue kit and some foam seals from http://aki-asahi.com/store/. It arrived today in Europe from Japan within 6 day:

There was even a free practice kit (brown) included to my surprise. Very good service!!

I like this blue kit very much:

I'm going on holidays in August and will refurbish the camera then. There is a very good instruction on the site as well. I'll get some pure alcohol and rubber cement for the job shortly.

To be continued ....

I love my F3s. Good on ya for refurbishing it. It will probably outlive you, they are very solid cameras and fun to use.

Yellow. Goes well with the Nikon strap. The prankster in me says to try and find a strap with "D3" on it.

I"m constantly being asked how many MP's in my F3 with MD4 or my F4s,, I read somwhere that the 35mm neg holds about 55 MP worth of data, so I just look them in the eye and tell them 55 in RAW, then watch the envy in their eyes.

I would tell them what they tell the customers in Rolls Royce showrooms when the customers ask what the cars maximum speed is "sufficient".

I'm removing old glue remnants at the moment with alcohol, Q-tips and a small screw driver.
To be continued ....

I did a Yashica in black Griptac a while back, it was fun and easy. (there was a url link here which no longer exists)

Nice job on the Yashica!!
The FX-3 was my first camera back in 1983. Served me well.

I have a Pentax LX recovered by the previous owner in Navy Blue. Since the LX is black the combination is very nice, restrained and elegant. I think the kit was from http://aki-asahi.com/store/, it seems to fit as well as the factory coverings on my other two LXs. (No one should have only one LX!)
