In 1978, Nikon produced and released 2000 early titanium clad F2s, with meter-less titanium clad prisms, which were sold exclusively to the press. It was developed after Nikon had made several titanium F2s for arctic explorer Naomi Uemura in 1977.
Later, in 1979, Nikon produced a further 3000 F2s with the emblem "Titan" on the front, and with a special serial number sequence. These 3000 were sold to the public.
This F2 titanium/press is in excellent condition, functions as new, with no issues. Shutter speeds are accurate, finder is bright and clear, winding is smooth (not Leica-smooth, rather Nikon-smooth). Advance is spot on with even frame spacing. Seals are in top condition. Some very minor signs of use on the back film reminder and on the base plate. Comes with a body cap.
It is bundled with the tiny, lightweight and excellent Nikkor-H 50mm f2. This sample is factory AI converted, so it will work on later cameras with meter coupling. The lens is also in excellent condition, with clean and clear glass, smooth focusing, nicely clicking aperture ring, and front & rear caps.
It's an awesome kit, perfect for street or travel. It works great, and doesn't get in your way with anything excessive - a desirable and durable classic.
Asking $1000. Price includes PP fees and shipping/insurance in CONUS. USA sales only please.
No trades, and I do not want to break up the kit - you are basically getting the lens for free anyway!
