Not sure why this subject is worth the time when you consider that the volumes of laser printer toner dumped every second are a much larger concern. Do you think with the smokestacks belching everywhere we are going to be around to worry about a sheet of paper

My understanding is that silver is quite toxic to fish and so you don't want it perculating into the ground water, making its way to rivers, etc... There's a small company (Itronics Inc.) in Sparks, Nevada which turns photo-goo into fertilizer and the underlying technology was developed due to silver in the Trucky river killing the fish.
