I can give you a time for ADOX Ortho 25. According to (there was a url link here which no longer exists) it is the same film as Rollei Ortho 25.

Rodinal 1+50 for 5 mins at 20C turned out some easily printable, and razor sharp, negatives from a film shot on a sunny day.

That's what I would use too - of course depends on if you have a condenser head or a diffusion head on your enlarger. Mine's a diffusion head, so denser negatives are fine - I also have an unhealthy love of contrast right now - so my opinion may be bunk

I've been 'semi-stand' developing Adox Ortho 25 in Rodinal at 1+100 for about an hour and I've been very happy with the results: very nice tones!

I shot some in San Antonio (it's one of the best films I've ever used, would have shot it in Vegas, but forgot to order and used Plus-X in HC-110 1:50 which came out fine).

I used Rodinal 1:50 for 10min @ 20º with gentle agitation And it's NOT the same as Adox Ortho25 I've shot both, and the Rollei films are superb. Prints beautifully in the darkroom. Especially on Fomatone 333.

You should try Efke 25, it's beautiful film as well, and at a much lower price with it's own look. Each film has a purpose (except for perhaps T-Max....in over 20 years never got a decent scan or print from it).

Good Luck!

1+100 for about 10 minutes does the trick for the normal 25, I guess it should be in the same ballpark for the Ortho

Rolleijoe, there is a 'normal' Efke/Adox 25 and an ortho Efke/Adox 25!

And where does one purchase the one & not the other? I know there is a Rollei 25 and Rollei Ortho25, but Rollei has nothing to do with Efke/Adox.

I've tried semi-stand before. But it's not worth waiting an hour, when I can have the entire process over in 30min doing it the standard way.

If an hour, I may fall asleep

Fotoimpex in Berlin!

Yes, I'm familiar with Mirko and Fotoimpex (that's where my ATM49 came from last month).

But here in the USA, Efke has an exclusive deal with Freestyle. Who sales Efke 25, but Adox Ortho 25. I have several rolls of Efke 25 in my freezer, but the Adox Ortho25 is not as good as Rollei Ortho25 IMO. So I am happy to spend a little more for it.

Now if we only had Moersch paper developers here (just now have 1 film developer). That would be a big help.
