Has anyone tried the new Epson M1100 series BW inkjet printers?

I've discovered them relatively recently and, theoretically, they could be an ok printer for digital negatives.
I don't really have the need for color printing.

Thanks!

It's a single channel, monochrome printer. I.e. digital negatives printed with it will be crude and overall abysmal in quality.
According to my local Epson website, this model is also discontinued.

One of the benefits of using a photo printer for digital negs is that you can combine a couple of channels to get a smoother print. Trust me, you really need that if you want to get tolerable negatives. I've done plenty of work using only a single channel on my 3880. The resulting prints *suck*.

I'm using a P900 successfully (A P700 is smaller) mostly due to all the software support from several vendors who concentrate on digital negative production tools.
