I also used Zack's once and was pleased. However, unless close enough to drop it off and pick it up (or a very bulky/heavy item), location makes little difference to me. At worst, an extra couple of bucks difference for shipping.

Perhaps he would be better with 35mm, but I had a relatively unpleasant experience with Zacks. I brought my Rolleiflex to him for an overhaul- which he seemed to keep trying to say was unrealistic (funny considering his slogan is "we do the impossible" or something like that) When I picked it up I found the aperture and shutter speed dials so tight that I had to break a finger to get them to move. The advance was quite tight as well. So, I brought it back to him and he was rather rude about the whole thing. He told me over am doing over that that is the way the camera is supposed to be, but I wasn't happy with that answer, so he went back in and did something to make things slightly less tight. I certainly wrote him off after this. I have heard good things about him, but I had enough. Perhaps he was going through some difficult times.
