Phil, I have processed plenty of C41 (colour negative) in various machines and also by hand.
I assume that the Tetenal kit has the first bath at 3:15 this is pretty much the most important bath and if you can keep this bath at or reasonably near the Tetenal recommended temperature, you should be alright.
When I'm hand processing I fill the tank quickly, close the lid and do two quick inversions followed by tapping, usually 20 seconds have gone by. At the 1:15 mark I do another inversion, followed by the last inversion at 2:15. At 3:05 I start emptying the developer.
At 3:15 I give a stop bath rinse and continue my process which is different to yours.
I assume the second bath is bleach/fix, follow the instructions and just do an inversion approximately every 30 seconds.
I would strongly suggest that you use gloves, the C41 process isn't kind to your skin and all of my Jobo tanks weep solution eventually, when doing hand processing.
I also live in Melbourne (southern suburbs) you can pm me if you wish.
Mick.
