Re: Hood for Kowa 6 55mm lens w/67mm mt

I have tried 2 generic 67mm mt wide angle lens hoods on my Kowa 55mm lens and both have cut off the corners (vignette) on the negs. The view finder does not show any cut-off when composing ( I think theview finders only show appx. 90% area). Can anyone suggest an after market hood they have used successfully with this lens, or should I keep looking for a used Kowa hood ?

The 55mm is the only Kowa lens I do not have the "factory" hood for. I have been using a generic collapsible rubber "wide-angle" hood successfully. Never noticed any vignetting. Don't have a brand name, sorry. I have seen the proper hoods come up on the auction site from time to time, but never had the need to spring for one ...
