Hi,

I know this is probably a very basic question given the usual discussions in this forum, but I searched about 25 pages of posts, and can't find an answer.

I also looked online, but don't really trust some of the answers I found.

So, can someone tell me the best way to re-attach the leather cover on a Canon EOS-1 that is starting to peal slightly in one corner?

Also, would the fact that it has started to peal off be an indication that something may have affected the camera, like moisture or heat, or does it just happen occasionally?

Contact cement. The Pliobond 25 LV that shutterfinger linked to is good, but be aware that it smells like a chemical factory died, so use it outside. Other brands of contact cement will also work - whatever you can find at the hardware store.

Thank you, I checked that link, but they won't ship to Canada.

I will look for a source up here.

Your local hardware store probably has some type of contact cement. I use Weldwood when I want something more permanent, but you can also use plain ol' rubber cement if you treat it like contact cement. That would probably hold it without any issues. Just clean the surfaces first.
