The focus rail on my rb67 pro s is super smooth but does not stay where I put it if I am aiming up at a steep angle or down at a steep angle. Am I missing something that locks focus?

I've only got the ProSD and it has a lever clutch like locking brake if you will on the left hand knob area. You can tighten to a bit of drag or full on lock. I usually lock it once I've focused no matter what the angle I'm photographing at.

On the Pro S, there's a focus-lock lever on the left side, next to the body, which locks the focus knob.

Thanks folks

Is that what that lever is for? Mine does not move. Maybe like everything else on this camera it needs to be gently persuaded.

It was well used when I bought it and I think it sat for a very long time as everything needed some flexing.

Got it moving. Some numbnut tightened it as far as it would go in the wrong direction. Works perfect now. Thanks.
