Well, my new (to me ) 50mm arrived today, I'm stoked. And because I'm insane, I also bought a 360mm.

So now I have the 50/90/180/250/360 lenses, and a 2x TC. WOOT!

:D

I may be using a few of them tonight, but we'll see how the weather is....

That's the sort of insanity considered "sane" around here!

The RB glass is just such gorgeous, chunky massive stuff, and beautifully engineered inside. Nothing like a big fat bag of those goodies.

I have the exact same setup as Kirks518 and closely resemble that sane style of insanity as described by M Carter. :whistling:

I have 50/90/180/360 lenses as well. Does the 2x vignette?

Hi Alan. I've only shot a few frames with the 2x (with the 250mm), and I haven't noticed any vignetting. Below is an uncropped frame from a roll I was testing the back on, as I had put in new light seals. No vignetting, but as you can see, I missed a spot with the new light seal.

BTW, my TC is of the Kenko variety. I picked it up at KEH for $59 (Bargain grade).

the 65mm I had was really sharp and I made it work for me, however, I am mediocre as a photographer.

If you get enough GAS you will buy the 50mm lens and then you might become a better photographer. OR you will trade the 65mm lens in for the 50mm lens and that way you will be come a better photographer. My BAD, the devil made me do it.

No no, buying the RZ67 will make you a better photographer, no light seal foam issues

Yeah but would any of you passed up a RB67 back for $3? I grabbed it from KEH as an As-Is (figured I'd get a dark slide out of it), and it is complete and fully functional, barring the light seal issue, which I believe I have corrected (we'll know on the next roll).

Sealing an RB back is a piece of cake repair. I'll take all the $3 RB backs I can get!

BTW, I too had a Kenko 2X and it worked fine - sold it when I got my 180... but boy, the camera looked pretty cool with that and a prism!

I said "Light trap issues are for sissies." Real men do not have light trap issues.

Nope, you said light seal issues are for sissies, RB backs gave light SEALS, RZ backs have light TRAPS (with the exception of the 6x6 120/220 back for some reason) huge difference in design, and maintenance...

Just busting your chops, you've done this to me enough over the years I don't think it's totally uncalled for

SO I was saying real men don't use cameras that use the inferior degrading light seals, they use the better designed light traps that never leak unless you actually crack the metal/plastic.

That said...

Happy New Year! Let's make 2015 much better than 2014!
