Why does the rb on my RB67 rotate clockwise to the vertical position instead of counterclockwise? If it rotated counterclockwise I could actually get the dark slide in-out when in vertical mode. But as it stands, the slide hits my tripod head tilt lever.
Square is not a problem it is the perfect format. That is what Hasselblad said. Rollei and Mamiya TLRs used it too. You are just stretching it.
Something that I never though of trying while I had mine: can you remove the back the back mounts on and rotate it 180 so the film wind lever is bottom and left, instead of top and right?
if square were the perfect format, then why does your perfect format waste so much printing paper? seems someone thinks 8x10 11x14 16x20.... etc etc etc are more perfect to the golden rule.
also the majority of cameras arent square format.... just a few misfits to please the misfits are.
personally, i don't care either way and do shoot squares now n again.
its all fun.
those blinders are 4x5
No rule against leaving the back in the rotated position.
The original RB on the Graflex rotates in either direction. Stick with the original.
