Ok, this is a rare beauty. Canon's first Autofocus lens, for the FD mount no less. It's the classic 35mm-70mm f/4 zoom in the AF housing.
This example works superbly and is in, dare I say, mint condition. It comes with a case and both front & rear caps.
It's a most unusual lens, and I can't say that it's very practical for someone such as myself. But, if you had poor eye-sight or trouble focusing it would be great, and I think that's the intended market. Not to mention, novelty in the age of all manual focus.
It takes just 2 AA batteries and focuses when you press that black button on the lens. Zoom is manual, and it retains all FD aperture functions as you would expect. It's a "plug and play" AF system for any FD camera.
The autofocus works well and is very accurate, but the whole process is not nearly as quick or as effortless as modern AF. You'll figure it out though, and you won't believe your eyes when you see through your match-needle viewfinder an image that is focusing itself!
I'm not sure what to ask for this to be honest, but how about $65 shipped in the US?? I don't know, feel free to make an offer. International welcomed.
Here's a bit more from the Canon museum -> http://www.canon.com/camera-museum/camera/lens/nfd/data/zoom/nfd_35~70_4_af.html
