When you get in touch with michel auer by e-mail does he then send you a simple list of the 3,600 books or does the list give more information than simply titles?

I emailed and he sent a wetransfer link to the full collection, which I haven't had a chance to look at. They are selling the books as a lot for 235,000 euros.

€65/$73 per book. If they are truly rare/out of print books, that's not bad. I'm sure individual books are priced differently since most wouldn't be buying the entire lot.

I'm sure someone like Abebooks could buy the lot and then stick them up on Amazon Marketplace for much higher prices
