Hello, i just received an Iskra one, and i am curious about the rangefinder adjustment. Most iskras have an adjustment button on the top plate, mine does not since it's a early model.
I've noticed that when i place the lens to infinity and focus on mountains or an object several miles away the rangefinder isn't exactly lined up. It does line up just a bit before the lens scale hits infinity. I came across this website in french:
http://www.suaudeau.eu/memo/rep/Iskra.html
https://translate.google.com/transl...ww.suaudeau.eu/memo/rep/Iskra.html&edit-text= (translated to english)
The very last photo at the bottom of the page mentions horizontal adjustment, and shows a screw to turn. Might this solve my problem? Place the lens at infinity, and adjust the screw until it lines up in the rangefinder? Seems simple enoguh but i've learned with these cameras not to touch anything since i may make it worse.
On a side note i shot 4 frames where my subject was at infinity, two frames lined up in the rangefinder at f/8 and f/16, and the same apertures with infinity set on the lens, (not aligned in the rangefinder only slightly off). I'll post results when i get my scans back tonight. Moving forward what should i trust more, the scale on the lens or what i see in the viewfinder.
