In cinema there is an effect called bleach bypass which retains silver in a color process by reducing the bleach time or eliminating it completely. It can be done in the negative or the print of the film but is mostly done with the projected print where it usually produces deeper blacks and desaturated colors. I want to try this with RA-4 prints as a special effect. Will this work at all? I suspect because of the high amount of silver in RA-4 that I should dilute the bleach or reduce the ammount of Ammonium Ferric EDTA in solution but not eliminate the bleach step completely. Any other tips? This would be with Ultra Endura.
