I don't think it's Vanbar. Photo Resource has a different address (Rae St, Nth Fitzroy) and have been in business for about 30 years servicing schools, professionals and keen amateurs - probably in competition with Vanbar for a lot of stuff. I'm guessing that some of the items being offered are trade-ins that haven't moved or some dead stock and they're having a house-cleaning.

Ha ha, I was just about to reply and she walked in the door, so I told her what you said. "It's okay, it's a Durst". She said "What does that mean?" I replied "That means it's the finest quality Italian enlarger."

I just managed to get the enlarger into my tiny darkroom. Wow, what an awesome beast!

By the way, I am offering up a Durst Laborator 1000 with cold light head free to a good APUG home. (After all it was given free to me by a fellow APUGer.)

I'd be more than happy to give it a good home, I've just started getting into printing, did my first contact prints on the weekend. (And I completely understand if you decline, its only my second post on APUG )

In case anyone is also looking for an enlarger and some darkroom equipment I have just listed my gear for sale on eBay. I've been living abroad for a few years now so my gear needs to find a new home - maybe treat yourself or someone else this Christmas??
