Robert White & The Pro Centre (in London) stock all the Readyload/Quickload films. For some reason, they both have Acros at the same price as the colour film ( :confused: )... TMax 100 in Readyload is less than half the price so that's the only one I ever use...

I've heard of some complaints about Acros in QuickLoads; mostly because I guess Acros has a small hole in the top corner of the negative, in the image area. I haven't processed any myself, perhaps Les could shed some light on this.

Acros QuickLoads do, indeed, have a small hole in one corner. While well within the exposed area of the film, it's only slightly inside the "true" image area. My understanding is that the hole is intended for use during drying. (An opened paper clip fits nicely through the hole.) Compose a little loose, and it's not a problem.

Ralph is right on the mark. I found the small holes a godsend when hanging the film to dry. When drying other 5 x 4 films you have to either use a peg that marks part of the image area, or use a Paterson negative clip with a sharp pin that goes through the film and this can be difficult to locate accurately with a sheet of wet film.

Note that the drying hook hole is on all Fuji negative sheet films, 4x5 and 8x10, black and white and color. It's not unique to the Acros QuickLoad version. Don't know why Fuji thought it was a great idea for negative but not E-6 sheet films.
