Quick Rodinal question

Hey, there -

Hoping some rodinal devotees are online right now, as I'm very new to the stuff....

I just tray processed my first "real" batch of 4x5 HP5 in rodinal. Dilution was 1+25, total volume of 1300ml. I processed four sheets of film, and have three or four to go.

If I hadn't just finished my bottle of rodinal, I'd mix a fresh batch to be on the safe side. But since I'm all out and it's 10:30PM, I'm wondering if the dilution and volume I mentioned above would allow me to do the remaining sheets in the same soup?

If you're there and have a quick answer for me, I'd be in your debt.

rodinal is just like ANY other developer: mix it, use it. It doesn't evaporate after a sheet of film goes through it.

You've got 52 ml of Rodinal in that tank, and that's enough to develop more than 100 sheets of 4x5 film. Assuming you're using a longer development time !

So go ahead and soup away, you haven't put a dent in the stuff.

( the limit to rodinal, like ANY diluted developer, is to not leave it around all day, or decant it and try it again in a couple days !

Just to second what Don said. I dilute 1+25, and in a 4x5 tray I'll use 800mL of water, and 32mL of water. I've developed 12 sheets in it without any issues. From what I have read all over the 'net a while back, I *believe* AGFA's recomendation was 7mL per 8x10 sheet (So, in our case, it would be about 1.75mL per 4x5 sheet).
I think on the LF board, many people routinely use 5mL per 80sq/in of film, but that may be pushing it.

Thanks, guys. I usually use Tmax dev one shot, so I'm not at all used to reusing developer. I took your advice and did the three remaining sheets, and they look good.
