Format
Multi Format
Okay, I am sitting here on a Sunday afternoon, NASCAR on the tube and playing with very old 6.5 x 8.5 Kodak 2D that I took apart many years ago, I don't have a complete back for it, so I was figuring, heck why not convert to another format...I was wondering, if you had a choice and you had a complete camera, but minus the back, I have the back frame...what format would you convert to, 5x7, 6x17, Etc.

Give me your ideas, just fishing for ideas here...

Thanks for the upcomming input.

Dave

Dave, I don't see the point of getting another camera that will do something one of your others will already do. So, what format can't you shoot now that the 2D would support?

Cheers,

Dan

I'd switch from NASCAR to Formula 1...

Hey,

Was just thinking, I have about 1/2 dozen 2D's in various formats, it might be fun to play with a few of the pano format, the reason I want to convert, is I really don't want to deal with the 6.5 x 8.5 format, getting harder and harder to find things for that format and thought would be fun.. Like I say, just rambling...kind of house bound today, recovering from a bad case of food poising I got on Thursday and letting my mind wander, or maybe its wandering with the anti-biotics they gave me last night!! LOL

Thanks

Dave

Andy,

After the mess at Indy this year, it might be a while before I watch Formula 1 again...LOL

And even if I wanted to, nobody is having it on their channel today )c:}

I'd go for the 6x17 format but with a small steam engine to power the motor drive.

One race in an entire season, that's kind of like saying, "I won't watch football again because the game was called off", lol! Today's Japanese GP was outstanding, a true battle from start to finish. Anyway this is OT!

Hope you decide on a format... maybe you could get experimental and make a back to take lengths of 120... do some panoramics. :D

Andy,

I am really leaning tword a pano format...

It is unfortunate, since the Indy thing happened, there have been very few F-1 races broadcast here, I am a far bigger fan of open wheel races than I am of the stock car races, wish we would get a few more of them here..

Dave

Hey don't forget Drag racing. We don't have to go round and round lookin for the finish line. I would go for 5X7, You can always crop to pano.

Another vote for 5x7 and F1.

Just in case, I do have a 5x7 back laying around.

I've seen a few formula races on the tube this year. More than usual it seems.

Why not build a vertical panorama format for shoting tall skinny things like redwood trees, sky scrapers, amazon fashion models and transmission towers?
