QUESTION -- Leitz V35 Enlarger Lamp Holder

Dear Friends,

I have a Leitz V35 enlarger, which apparently has the "old" one piece lamp mount. It requires a Philips type 6604 lamp with the GZ 6.35 base -- not easy to find these days.

However, there is another lamp mount that is newer, in two pieces, and takes the Philips 13139 lamp, which is quite easy to find.

Here's my question. Is it possible to buy this newer type lamp mount? Does anyone have one they can sell me? Or know where to find one? Would Leitz Germany probably be the only source? Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

I recently had to find a new lens for my V35. It was a pain, your issue sounds even more intense. I'm not sure if this diagram will help at all, but take a look.

I have contacted Leitz in the past and they have excellent customer service, at least in my experiences.

About three years ago I bought one from Leitz and they said it was the last. I hope you do score one, and that they turn up some more for all those out there with the same need.

Terrific! I remember how stressed I was when I was looking. Maybe they meant they have alot of them when they said we have ONE.. Go figure.Congrats...
