Question Concerning Intrepid 8x10

Not all 8x10 folders flex. And weight isn't necessarily the determining factor; design and quality of materials and construction is. But you're never better than your weakest link; so the stability of the tripod support system has to be factored too.

If you're talking about that Horseman with the 2 big L brackets that weighs about eleven-teen tons, I designed a GREAT tripod adapter for 3D print that fits a surveyors tripod. That sucker won't budge a hair. That's the one i have and it's a great field camera, if you can drive right up to the shooting site. Hauling the beast 100 yards is another question. I say that hoping I still have the Freecad file. I've had a couple hard drive crashes since then. But I may still be able to dig it up.
