I have acquired a 150mm Durst Componon lens. It does not have the "S" designation. How does the quality of this lens compare to a Schneider labeled Componon S lens? Also, it came with a Japanese jam nut that is the right size but the threads are wrong for this lens. It starts to screw on but then jams making it clear that the threads are different. It appears to be about a 39mm thread although I can't be sure. Does anyone know what jam nut this lens uses?

Thanks,
Tom

The Componon S was a later refinement of the design, your lens should be excellent. From memory the trhread pitch on the 150mm Componon is much finer than the usual 39mm leica type thread used on the 50's 80's 105's etc, also its designed to take a retaining ring.
