Hi

I have Pentax ES camera. Of course I bought it as a used one. The guy who made CLA of the camera said that someone had to intervene in the electronics before. It looks like some wires connected to the main plug are mistakenly soldered.I mean the black plug from the bottom of the camera.(you have to remove bottom cover, electronic PCB is inserted in the plug).

I looking for any picture of that plug. Could you help me please?

greetings

JW

Did not look yet but did you try Butkus? He has a lot of stuff on the web but maybe not with the bottom plate removed unless it is an exploded diagram. I wish I could help but my Spotmatics are all mechanical and the ES is not. I do have a feeling that someone out there has one and will be gracious enough to remove the bottom and photograph it for you. - David Lyga

Stand by for 1 hour. I just took the bottom off mine and will scan it on my copier. Right now, the copier is in the middle of a job.

OK here you are. This is an ES, not an ESII.

So, It looks like the wires are ok. (at least the top row, I can't see the bottom)
I wonder why these is completely different PCB in my Pentax?!
(By the way.The problem in my camera is that in manual speed mode the shutter is electronic controlled all the time unless the battery is removed.)

Anyway thank you very much for your help
