Just bought a horseman ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=330024879218&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=014 ) and I know sinar boards work but does anything else from the sinar line? Are there any issues or problems that i need to be aware of? And finally does any one know if you can just change the rear standard and bellows to make the jump to 8x10? Now all I have to do is decidedon what lenses to keep and what to sell with my current 4x5. Sorry for all the question thanks in advance Lyle

The horseman L 4x5 monorail is compatible with sinar system (both bellows and lens board).
You cannot upgrade it easily to 8x10 because you need extended (higher) front standard and larger rear standard. I own both LX 4x5 (+ 5x7) and LX-C 8x10. The rear frame and back of the LX-C 8x10 is the same as Cambo 8x10.

I don't think that anything else than the lensboard and bellows, groundglass and rollfilm backs will fit... I might be mistaken, though.

I own the 4x5 LX-C. I am pretty satisfied, although I don't think it's better that a recent Sinar-P. I like the depth of filed calculator, though. It's making my life simple and easy every time I need it. I think Sinar's system for this job is not as easy to use (or has it changed ?)

I was able to put a Sinar shutter on my Horseman LX after I took off the aperture control. That made it easy to use barrel lenses. Horseman is a great, versatile system.
