Over developed film lose apparent sharpness thats what I've been noticing. Now, ferricyanide / farmers reducer thins out the silver, will that improve the apparent sharpness?

Not really because the over development kills the edge effects but it can help reduce the apparent graininess. The older advice was to bleach in a rehalogenating bleach, ferricyanide & Bromide, expose to light and redevelop in a finer grain developer by inspection.
