OK... OK... How about 9:00 am on the 28th????
I know I can use a couple extra hours of Beauty Sleep, but was willing to sacrifice that for some nice light photography. As you know, I have been sacrificing my beauty sleep all too often!
Let me know if the new, later start time is OK with everyone... and Bill - there will be no shoelace contemplative photography on this outing!!! :D

me too!!

If there is enough room at the Quabbin for just one more I'll be there at the requested hour-no 7am!! too far for me. Someone bring the coffee!!
Best, Peter

Aw Gene, you caved. Hang your head in shame.

Regards, Art.

Art
I am going to use that early time to go over my "Popcorn" stock purchases!
I think I am gonna make a killing in the kernel commodities market!! :D

Oh, come now, you've gotten up earlier than that to shoot an image or two in the light drizzle ... as I recall. :D

Regards, Art.

And you nearly fell over you were so surprised!
Gene - if you're serious 'bout 9, that's fine. As long as it's not 'cause I'm whining.

Bethe - Me ams just tryin to make it easier for all.

Bethe, please remember to bring the print...

Whitey and I are making car pooling arrangements and plan to be there. I'll be
bringing money for that "dusty shoes" print.

Here are directions to the Visitor's Center on Rte 9 in Belchertown:

And now - Directions...
Coming from the Boston area / Eastern Mass:
Get on to the Mass Pike West and keep going... Look for Exit 7 Ludlow, this is the exit you want to take.
After paying your toll, go to the end of the short access road and turn RIGHT on to Rte 21 North. Follow this road all the way to the end (probably a 15 min drive) to where Rte 21 meets Rte 202. Turn RIGHT on to Rte 202 North. You will go about a mile, up a hill and at the top is a traffic light. Rte 202 turns left, BUT you want to go Straight through the light and about a mile it will meet Rte 9. Turn RIGHT on to Rte 9 East. The Quabbin Visitors' Center road will be about 2 to 3 miles down the road. It will be on the Left Side and marked with a sign for the State Police (who now police the park and area). Turn Left here and follow the road a short ways to the Visitors' Center. If I remember correctly, the parking area just before the Center is still accessible, if not park right in front of the building.

Coming from the West - Berkshires or NY:
Take the Mass Pike East to Exit 7 Ludlow. Follow the directs above from that point north.

Coming from the South - Conn:
Get on to Rte 91 North. Drive up to Springfield where you will bear right on to Rt2 291 East. Take Rte 291 East all the way to the end where it will meet the Mass Pike (Rte 90). Turn right on to the Pike's access area, grab you ticket and head East. Exit 7 will be the next exit, so don't pick up warp speed! Take Exit 7 Ludlow and follow the above directions to the Quabbin.

From points North - VT or NH:
Get on to Rte 91 South. Keep driving to Holyoke (pronounced Whole-yoke) and the Holyoke Mall (which is on your left). The Exit just past the Holyoke Mall is for the Mass Pike; this is the one you want to take. Get on to the Mass Pike and head East to Exit 7 Ludlow. As stated already, follow directions from this point to the Quabbin.

If you're gonna drive down Rte 2 - points North and East:
Take Rte 2 West until you hit the town of Orange. Take the exit for Rte 202 South Belchertown Amherst. Follow Rte 202 South into Belchertown where Rte 202 will meet Rte 9. Turn Left onto Rte 9 East and follow this road for about 3 to 5 miles to the Quabbin Visitors' Center (see above directions).

We'll meet at 9:00 am in the parking lot at the Visitor's Center.
Have a good week.

Howdy all... just an update on the weather forecast: seems as though there might be a slight drizzle or an early sprinkle or two, but should be OK otherwise with a chance the sun make poke through the clouds for a brief appearance.
I was up to the Quabbin last night for a PVPA meeting and the water level is high. But the Quabbin is a beautiful place no matter what.
See ya all tomorrow at 9:00 am!! :D

Having recently lost a great deal of weight, I have just reacquainted myself with my lower
limbs, and they are no longer as attractive as I remembered. So I doubt it. I *do* plan to
frolic with my ZeroImage pinhole camera, however.....

All this depends on whether Whitey remembers to pick me up, since he may have already mentally crossed that off his "todo" list....

Will you folks be posting pics of Bill and Whitey's feet on the 30th?

A fascinated audience wants to know!

He He He... somebody will get the "Foot Shot!"

gene

My please Barry... it was good to meet you. And thanks for the film.

I had fun, in spite of my health problems. Plus, I never thought someone would use a Hasselblad to shoot such a mundane subject as my (and Whitey's) feet. ;-)

OK, Gene, you can go ahead while Whitey and I photograph our cars and each other's cameras in the parking lot. Actually, Whitey, is that 5x7 the one I think it is?.....

(Whitey you must get yourself a pack mule!)

I am the pack mule.
