I just started using pyrocat-MC a few weeks ago after 2 years away from the camera. I shot a few 8x10 negs today that are going to need expansion. I'm using a jobo cpp2, pyroMC at 2:2:100 on efke pl100. If I'm getting normal development with 11min at 70 degrees F, where is a good place to start looking for N+1 and N+2?

Thanks for helping out a newbie :D

If your normal time for N is 11 mins at 70 degrees with rotary processing and Pyrocat-MC 2:2:100 try 6:30 minutes for N-2, 8:00 for N-1, and 20 minutes for N+1. For N+2 you should use a 5:3:100 dilution for about 20 minutes.

I assume this is for printing on silver papers, maybe AZO 2? Your normal time with the 2:2:100 should already be giving a lot of contrast so it looks like your printing process needs a high DR negative.

If for alternative printing with UV light times would be different.

I used to print on AZO, but now with no paper I'm using arista edu grade 3 mostly in ansco 130.. I'm still trying to get things right now that I'm back at it, and I don't own a densitometer.. Needless to say I've got a long way to go.
