I regularly overexpose Acros by several stops, because my Pen doesn't have a meter. I don't necessarily pull development either. It works fine and gives lovely shadow detail.

That is good stuff there, thanks. I am interested because I bought ten rolls, and there they are in the freezer, waiting for spring. Do you know if this film will take pyro stain?

Does anyone have any experience shooting Acros 100 at 25 or 50?

I shoot Acros at 50 and find that is just right for shadow detail based on the way I meter. I don't think it's a pull, but more the correct speed. Adding an extra stop (25) does no harm, but doesn't add much either for normal light.

Best to test it yourself with your favorite developer.

I shoot the re-branded stuff from Freestyle (generally believed to be Acos) at iso50 and soup in Rodinal 1+100 with standard agitation for 12 min. Negs come out looking nice.

Do you know if this film will take pyro stain?/QUOTE]

Been using up a stash of Acros 100 in QuickLoads and developing the sheets in 510-pyro. Yes, this film does take pyro stain. Just watch the fix stage, as over fixing will reduce the stain.

I am going to try shooting a roll @ 50 and do my normal development in Rodinal 1+50 and see how it turns out. Normal time @100 is 8 min. Time for 50 is 11 min.
Do yon develop @ 100 or 50 develop time?
