PhotoBob is published in the spring issue (#52) of PhotoEd magazine with an article and photos on color infrared film photography.

Always interesting to stumble across one of one's own photos that sold as stock, since the agency doesn't usually say who the buyer was. This was actually an iPhone picture sold through Alamy's stockimo.

Not exactly published, but gallery exhibited: in March and April next year, I will be the sole photographer in a three-person show of work about race, race relations and historical legacies of racism at Gallery O on H Street in Washington DC. I'll be exhibiting 30-ish 2x4 inch palladium prints from my series "Sinister Idyll: Historical Slavery in the Modern Landscape".

Hope you'll figure out a way to share all of those photos online...and will announce that on Photrio!

I will - I'll be getting a decent copy stand soon and giving the photos a proper re-photographing (scanning the prints doesn't work well because they're small prints and the scanner picks up the paper texture too easily). The series will go on my blog, and I'm working on a book format to showcase the entire series, not just the ones going in the show, along with the detail information about each image.

I was featured on the CBC Northern Exposures podcast talking about my work. You can listen here or get it via Apple/Google podcast apps:

I'm biased since I know almost everyone involved but I think the whole series is excellent and worth checking out if you want something to listen to. We have a great photography community up here in the North.

This will be the third publication my carbon work appears in. The book arrived from China. It's put together very well. Reproductions are excellent. Sandy King and John Lockhart did a swell job. Now I'll have to brush up on me Mandarin...not similar to Japanese AT ALL!

心配しないで
can you send scans of the text you have trouble with? Strange that this book isn't available in English?

Thanks PhotoBob, but I'll pester the Mandarin teacher at my school. She owes me a few favours...
This book was initially intended for the Chinese market. Sandy King, John Lockhart, and co-authored by Don Nelson, put together an excellent book on carbon which is in English. I have work in that as well... haven't bitten the bullet to purchase as it's in expensive US dollars. https://www.amazon.com/Carbon-Trans...king&qid=1555986193&s=gateway&sr=8-1-fkmrnull

My copy of the book on carbon transfer printing by Sandy King, Don Nelson, and John Lockhart finally arrived at my doorstep. It's a beauty. So nice to have some of my work in there alongside such talented artists! Thank you to the authors for their hard work!

The last one, just before my illness (from which I am slowly recovering but never entirely), published in september 2018: 'PARIS DANS MON GAND'.
The narrative of strolling in my city for more than 40 years...

The book is all Jon’s photos but it includes one photo taken by me. The photo that tells you what the book is going to be about...
