Anyone know why Provia and Velvia are out of stock everywhere? Looking for some Provia 120 but can't seem to find any US retailers with stock. What gives?

In the US pretty much all 35mm E6 and C41 is out of stock right now (except for maybe E100D only because no one is willing to pay $20/roll 
), 120 E6 is also out of stock, again except for E100 because it must be wrapped in gold foil. It's probably a supply chain/shipping issue since so many ships are waiting off the coast of California.

E100 prices have gone waaaay up over the last 16 months. Here's what I paid in April of last year (versus the current price).

We had this discussion in another thread. The supply issues with Fuji seem not to be global. Here in Europe we got supply issues with other things from Asia. So in this current pandemic situation this all may be coincidental and there likely will be no sufficient answer to the OP.
Unique photo had provia and velvia 50 last time I checked.
My local doesn't bother to stock it anymore. It's too expensive for her quantities and when she gets it is totally hit and miss.

Summary: Velvia 50 in 120 format has been completely out-of-stock everywhere in the USA since the spring of this year (except B&H which has had it a few times since then, for only a few days each time). Some US retailers like Samy's have been continuously out-of-stock since as far back as late 2020. Recent supply chain issues thus do not explain this, but they certainly haven't made it any better either. Other Fuji E6 films, and even E100 from time to time, have (I've heard) also been similarly affected, and not just in 120 format but the other formats too, though I haven't been monitoring and don't know any details.
Meanwhile in Europe, 120 Velvia 50 appears generally available at large photo retailers, especially those with a film/analog emphasis, based on my occasional checks online, and the reports of European folks here. And all along, Japan seems to have had gobs of the stuff. I've been watching the Yodobashi and Bic Camera web sites for 120 Velvia 50 availability in Japan every week since the spring, and they've never been out of stock. All the 120 format Velvia 50 I've purchased this year has been from Japan, using a Japan shopping service (ZenMarket), with service and shipping fees added, which end-up costing me about $60 - $65 (give-or-take) per 5-pack box out-the-door, with about 2 weeks required from order to delivery. That's about $10 more expensive per 5-pack than I was able to get the same film for domestically, back in 2019 when it was reliably in stock in the USA. As for freshness, its been pretty fresh, with expiration dates 12-18 months in the future each time I've ordered.
No light at the end of the tunnel yet. The only good news is that this film is not discontinued and appears to still be in regular production and distribution for Japan and some export markets (just not the USA).

All Fujifilm colour reversal films have been available in Europe and Japan without significant issues during the pandemic. No real problems here.
Most probably the problems in the US are caused by the current shipping problems on the US west coast: Just two days ago there was a report in the news that some dozen big container ships are waiting at the coast outside the biggest west coast harbours. With more than 500,000 containers (!!) waiting to be unloaded.
Therefore at the biggest west coast harbour - Los Angeles - it is now planned to operate it 24h/day the whole week, including weekends. The harbour in Long Beach is already operating that way.
Fujifilm is globally shipping its films via container shipping over the seas (Kodak is using partly also the much more expensive transportation by airplanes). So probably Fujifilm films are currently waiting in some containers on a ship waiting to be unloaded.

They just want to milk the cow. It's obvious why they have discontinued all C41 films in 120 format: because the big demand is for 35mm consumer-quality film. That's where the money is, and Fuji doesn't care too much to satisfy other demands.
They had Acros 100, then they killed it to move production to Ilford (Acros II) and charge much, much higher prices.
So that's Fuji. I used to be a huge fuji fan and shot Fuji almost exclusively (at least in color) for years. But they're easily the most cat-like manufacturer of all: They don't give a **** about their customers.

Only a dozen? That's awesome! It was close 80 ships waiting for a slot and two weeks ago and last week 65 were actually anchored in the harbor at LA waiting to offload. Truckers are having hissy fits because they don't get paid when they aren't loaded, and they can literally sit outside the port a whole day waiting for their cargo. So a dozen is a hell of a lot better.
Unless you have insider information and are likely violating an NDA, you don't know that. It's entirely possible Fujifilm coats and ships master rolls of Acros II to HARMAN for finishing.
