I have a small ongoing project around baobab (specifically the baobab seed pod or "fruit"). In the past I was involved in the sale of baobab products (mostly fruit pulp[dried] and seed oil[cosmetic]) from Africa, so had these samples in my garage. I thought I would use them as still life subjects in different scenarios. I did rent some of these to a professional photographer in New York at one point for props in putting together an ad campaign for a major cosmetic company. I think at that time (and potentially today), I was the only person in the USA known to have actual whole fruit/pod samples. I never did see the resulting pictures. I may try and discover them given my renewed interest in this.
Here is an album I put together for the project. I likely will add additional shots in the future. Please feel free to comment and critique. As of the posting date all the images are analog silver emulsion B&W film (scanned). I am more interested in the images than the technology, so I chose "workflow does not apply". In addition I do not want to preclude the possibility of adding a digital image in the future if it makes sense. I will post a few sample images in this thread.
