I know I have read somewhere on APUG how to purposely create the "lightning flash" affect that Revolog get on their Tesla films, but I can't for the life of me find it again.

would someone be kind enough to remind me, or at least point me to the right thread?

I've heard that static electricity can cause this, try rewinding your film with a motor drive in cold weather.

as it's summer and I don't have a motor drive, I may have to buy a packet of balloons and a woolly jumper ...
