Does anyone have any experience processing ORWO UN 54 100ASA black and white film for stills. I am in NZ and some of the developers that from my internet research seem to work ok - kodak D96 and Adonal arent available here. Has anyone had any luck working with this film using kodak D76 or Ilford developers?

cheers

Hi Lisa,
Those are my times for processing ORWO UN-54 exposed at 100 and N-74 films exposed at 400 iso:
Kodak Xtol, 1:1, 20C
UN-54 - 8min
N-74 - 12min

Rodinal 1:50, 20C
UN-54 - 10min
N-74 - 13min

Kodak HC110 (1+3) + (1+15)
UN-54 - 7min 30sec

Inversions first 30s and then two inversions of paterson tank each minute.
Those times are just starting point for finding out you personal processing times.
From those you can figure out how long it will take to process them in different developers.

Also, substituting D-76 for D-96 should work pretty well, they are pretty similar. (D-96 is the official formulation used in movie film negative processing, while D-76 is the version for still camera films.)
