my Crown Graphic 23 with Supermatic shutter assy. When using a remote cable release, and on B, the shutter release lever is obstructed by the barrel that screws into the shutter. It will open the shutter, but when I try to depress it to close, the release
cable barrel won't allow the shutter lever to trip. I hope this message is clearer to you than it looks to me :blink:. Is there an extension to move the cable further out from the shutter? Any input is appreciated.
Thanks,
Gerry

I forgot to add, that all other speeds work OK with the cable.

Maybe using another shutter release cable with a thinner profile?

Hello Gerry;
From your picture it looks like you are using a shutter release with a Compur end. This has tapered threads on the end. The supermatics, rapax, ilex, and graphex shutters used a different end that had #5-44 straight thread and was smaller in diameter on the end. These are hard to find and many were fitted with a solenoid for flash. Hope this helps, Steven.

Hello Gerry;
I noticed that you are located in Oregon, lived there for many years. In Portland is the Pacific Rim camera store, should have the cable release that you need. They have a large stock and be sure to take your camera with you. They are experts on Graflex. Hope this helps, Steven.
