Problem with my Luna Pro F

My Luna Pro F is acting up. I changed the batteries today because when I do the battery check the needle does not fall near the green BAT box. I replaced the battery with an energizer 9v alkaline battery. But now when I do the battery check the needle jumps to the OVER, and goes past the battery check box. Any thoughts on whats happening? Is there something wrong in the circuits?

Mine does that too, but it otherwise appears to be operating normally. Unless you have some reason to think that it's giving incorrect readings, probably not worth worrying about.

Over is better than under and won't cause any problems.

My SBC Luna Pro is the same when I put in new batteries, no ill effects.
