TF4 has a precipitate in the bottom and therefore dividing it into parts will give different results. This problem was avoided with TF5. DO NOT DIVIDE TF4 before dilution and dissolution of the precipitate.

Well, your original post said TF5 IIRC.

And, never ever divide a liquid with a precipitate or divide a powder kit into smaller powder portions. Neither work well at all.

In addition, you can solve the problem by mixing it all back together, heating it to about 110F and the precipitate will dissolve. THEN you can divide it.

I'm sorry I did not include this in my post above, but I forgot this little known factoid.

Gosh I’m so sorry 8 actually AM using tf-5. Should I go ahead and do the reheating/mixing thing or am I good PE?

TF5 was designed to be divided! It has no precipitate and withstands this treatment quite well.

BTW, DO post scans of your prints, i love to see how folks have interpreted a negative. It’s very interesting to see.
