It's less than Kodak's and Fuji increases in the past few years at least in the US. Still good stuff right up there with Fuji and Kodak. (and a good value in the USA)
Because of the pandemic: International shipping cost has increased greatly probably increasing their cost of raw materials.
Shipping speed has also slowed down.. Fewer flights to stuff cargo onto. Fewer warehouse workers, extra unproductive activities to avoid covid spread, etc.. This means businesses have to stockpile (increase investment) in raw materials in order to maintain production.

It's the end of the world as we know it.
And film is doomed.
I am off to my kitchen (I don't have a basement) and make my own Gelatine Dry Plates. ( I will use the teapot to pour the emulsion).

How much did Kodak and Fuji increase their prices? 20%? 30%?

Six per cent is not that much. We're right behind you.

35 to 4x5 is still relatively cheap, even with the 6% increase. That's where I'll be putting my money after I've gone through my small stash. Not 8x10. $257 Cdn after the increase, and taxes is too rich for my blood. I had to say sayounara a while back to TMY-2 in 8x10 as well. That 8x10 CatLab stuff is looking more and more attractive... Have a great weekend, everyone!

HP5+ is still more or less half the price of TriX which still is sold.

I don't care, if you compare the prices of FP4+/HP5+ the big online stores (eg. Fotoimpex) with the price you paid 20 years ago at the local foto store, prices have hardly rozen. Meanwhile the volumes declined and other things (eg a beer in the bar) had a much higher price increase.

If needed for Ilford to keep in business I pay a little extra with love. By the way, I haven't noticed any increase earlier this year. I still need to pay €4,90 a roll for HP5+ (if I buy 10)

Twenty years ago I paid under $100 Cdn for a 25 sheet box of HP5. Today it's just under $260. Not risen by much? At least it's still a 25 sheet box LoL!

I guess all things are not the same relative to where one lives. I have a huge selection of top quality beer at about a buck a piece. Film goes for same as elsewhere in the world. The problem this creates is I can't save on beer in order to pay for film, as I would have to really stop drinking in order to just get another roll. So things are not so swell. I can't really stop drinking, it would hugely affect my creativity.

For those who might be wondering about my rather cheeky question to Andrew, here is a link to a price trend graph for the metro Vancouver area. The graph ends at February 2016. Home prices are much higher now than in February 2016:
https://infogram.com/average-detached-home-price-1g43mnrd36j9pzy
The left axis is in thousands - i.e. it tops out at $2,000,000 CDN

It’s quite clear that this thread is now devoid of any utility. It should be DELETED and carry on in a historic legacy!

Again in your dreams.
I surely let you feed a company that concealed nuclear atomic bomb tests that caused thousand of victims by radioactive fallout.
I will support only Ilford.
I guarantee that the roots of the current Harman Technology were actively involved in all sorts of war efforts of all sorts.
As I would expect were the roots of Italian companies like Durst and Ferrania.

War?
Now what war has to do with it?
:sad::sad:
The thing that escapes your mind is that Kodak did conceal atomic bomb tests AFTER THE WAR ENDED!!
