It's awful quiet out here in the Mojave Desert. The Gila Monsters are hiding in their dens, as are the Sidewinder snakes and the bears who sometimes come down from the mountains looking for water. The Monsoon winds and the heat are long gone and sometimes there are icicles on the cacti. But not very often.
